The bin=* tag is used to indicate the presence of an amenity=waste_basket associated with a feature like a public_transport=platform, highway=bus_stop, highway=rest_area, or amenity=shelter.
Values
bin=yes: A waste basket exists, which may or may not be mapped separately.bin=no: A waste basket is not present.bin=separate: A waste basket exists and is mapped separately.
- Note that
separateis a rare value (compared toyes), even though waste bins for the objects in question are usually not mapped separately.
