Wildlife crossings are man_made=* structures that allow animals to cross human barriers safely. Usually they are combined with channeling fences on either side of the crossing. They allow connections between habitats and assist in avoiding collisions between vehicles and animals.

How to map

Draw an area area around all of the grounds and add man_made=wildlife_crossing.

Examples

Ecoduct

Ecoduct.jpg Mf way.png area way / area
man_made=wildlife_crossing

Comment:
  • Ecoducts are viaducts or overpasses for migrating animals.
  • The structure looks like a bridge with natural surface.
  • A ramp at an end of a bridge is not part of the bridge. A ramp can be tagged as embankment=*
  • The part of the highway under the bridge can be tagged with covered=yes.

Tunnel
