The value sidepath is used to indicate if a cycleway (or footway) is adjacent and parallel to a street.
Usage
There are two use cases for this value.
Mostly on a sidepath
Used as footway/
cycleway/
path=sidepath
in combination with highway=*
cycleway
/footway
/path
. The same holds true for highway=bridleway
and bridleway=sidepath
.
Note that the suffix :right/left/both is not being used in this case.
This tagging for cycleway=sidepath

This tagging is used mainly by the Lübecker Methode in the form of cycleway:right/left/both=sidepath
