A  sauna is a small room or house designed as a place to experience dry or wet heat sessions, or an establishment with one or more of these and auxiliary facilities.

How to map

Set a node at the center of the sauna or draw an area along its outline.

Tag it as leisure=sauna.

Tags used in combination

  • sauna=* – describe the type and properties of the sauna
  • name=* - name of the sauna (or noname=yes if it has no name)
  • Address
  • opening_hours=* - might be useful for public saunas.
  • fee=* - Yes or no, to indicate if money is charged to use this facility
  • female=yes - female-only or segregated sauna
  • male=yes - male-only or segregated sauna
  • unisex=yes - unisex sauna
  • gender_segregated=yes - gender segregated sauna
  • access=yes - for public saunas where you pay a entry fee (or free in rare cases) to visit (default)
  • reservation=yes - for saunas that you need to pay rent for usage
  • access=customers - for saunas that are available for customers only (for example, camping guests)
  • wheelchair=yes - Indicate if a special place can be used with wheelchairs
