A shop specialized in selling kitchenware.

Kitchenware covers pots and pans, cutlery and various small tools used to prepare and serve food. Ovens and similar are covered by shop=kitchen/shop=appliance.

Note that the tag is not truly established (yet?) as of 12/2021.

How to map

Set a node or draw as an area along the shop outline. Add the tag shop=kitchenware and name=*.

Tags used in combination

  • name=* – the name of the shop.
  • addr:*=* – the address of the shop.
  • brand=* – the brand the business belongs to or the range of brands the shop carries. In case of several brands use a semicolon, eg Zwilling;Tefal;Zepter
  • operator=* – indicates the name of the person or the company operating the shop.
  • opening_hours=* – hours of opening.
  • phone=* – contact phone number of the shop.
  • website=* – contact website of the shop.
  • payment:*=* – to indicate the precise method of payment.

Similar tags

  • shop=houseware – A shop that focuses on small household items, like cutlery, crockery, cookware and decorative items. This less specific tag is far more widely used than the more specific shop=kitchenware.
