 Padel is a racquet sport invented in 1969 in Acapulco, Mexico.

It is played in pairs and consists of three fundamental elements: the ball, the racket and the court. It consists of bouncing the ball in the opponent's court, with the possibility of bouncing it off the walls.

It is currently most popular in Hispanic American countries such as Argentina and Mexico, as well as in Spain and Andorra, although it is now beginning to spread rapidly across Europe and other continents. In the US and Canada, the sport is known as paddle. Not to be confused with sport=paddle_tennis.
