An automated teller machine (ATM), or automatic banking machine (ABM), or "cash machine", is a computerised telecommunications device that provides the clients of a financial institution with access to financial transactions in a public space without the need for a cashier, human clerk or bank teller.


Tagging scheme for amenity=atm

network=* Name of the network the ATM is part of. Note that different banks can share the same ATM network. Servired, Red6000, Telebanco 4B, Link, CashGroup, Bankcard-Servicenetz, Sparkassenverbund, Allpoint, Bitcoin
operator=* Name of bank or organisation operating the cash machine. May be different from network=* HSBC, Euronet
opening_hours=* Opening hours
fee=* Cost of the ATM. no (never a charge) / some (some customers pay, some don't) / yes (always a fee; amount unknown or may vary)/ £1.75 (fixed fee) / unknown
cash_in=yes/no Specify whether ATM can be used to deposit cash. yes, no
drive_through=yes/no Specify if atm is a drive thru atm. yes, no
ref=* Identifier for a particular ATM; usually an alphanumeric code seen on transaction records

man_made=surveillance Usually ATMs have a surveillance camera, either integrated in the ATM or in the room facing the terminal.
language:lg=yes An available language provided by the user interface. language:en=yes, language:it=yes, language:others=no


Note that ATMs located in or near bank branches may be tagged as amenity=bank with atm=yes. If the bank and the ATM have different opening hours, it might be worth to use amenity=atm instead.
