Is it appropriate to use highway=service for a main busway?

The tag highway=service is defined as "Generally for access to a building, service station, beach, campsite, industrial estate, business park, etc" and the most common use of this tag is for driveways, parking aisles, alleys, and access ways for commercial properties. In contrast, a busway is a through route, more similar to a highway=bus_guideway in construction and purpose, and many are built to the standards of a highway=primary or a motorroad. --Jeisenbe (talk) 04:35, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

In this case I see point of people proposing highway=busway, but on that page I wanted to document current tagging, not some potential new superior and unused tagging. I would not be opposed to highway=busway proposal, but I am also not planning to work on it Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 06:39, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
BTW, I am also not opposed to highway=tertiary vehicle=no service=busway bus=designated Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 06:41, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Honestly if you are going on this direction, I would be more interested in how to indidcate a road is important to pedestrians, than buses (can do something similar to usage=*). ---- Kovposch (talk) 13:14, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
highway=service is more of a function. Its standard could be as low as what you have in mind, or as high as roads in international airports. A busway is built for a single purpose. It could also be as low standard as a median carriageway (or even very shabby roads in rural areas converted from a railway), to as high as an elevated or underground road. To me, it fits the meaning. ---- Kovposch (talk) 13:14, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
