This page should go through the proposal process

In my personal opinion, many of the tags are not optimal, as if you'd left out namespacing, meaning was still straight forward for shop=robot. Of course namespacing would be needed if some of these tags wont onto shop=computer or shop=electronics. As it is only an opinion, it would be best to run this through the proposal process so you could gather input from others. Here's a possible suggestion by incorporating already existing tags:

IMHO the "already existing tags" (like second_hand or rental) can't express what is sold or rented, especially for a shop=electronics (as mentioned below). I have no clue what the "service" prefix should be good for. rtfm Rtfm (talk) 20:18, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Why not just shop=electronics?

Why not just shop=electronics? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 14:25, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure most of the entries will be a shop=electronics,shop=computer,shop=department_store or shop=garden_centre (for lawn_mover robots), but how would you like to express what's sold ? (so these "subtags" may be used).rtfm Rtfm (talk) 20:18, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
As already mentioned above: shop=electronics + sells=robot;robot_parts. Bkil (talk) 18:11, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
You didn't get the point : What do you do about shops which sell different product types ? Especially how would an app or map find those values ? Generally this is a question of Syntax, Categorization and an easy Data_reporting. With the system you proposed the possibilities to express something would simply be very restricted Rtfm Rtfm (talk) 11:49, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
