• 교통섬은 보통 2차선 이상의 도로에서 혹은 도로 흐름이 좋지 않은 곳에서 한방향으로 흐르게 하기 위해서 만듭니다. 교통섬의 크기는 보통 몇미터 이상으로 만들어집니다.
• 교통섬에는 우선권을 나타내는 표지판이 있을 수도, 없을 수 있습니다.
• 교통섬은 교차로나 신호등 한가운데 위치하며 교통섬 주변을 둘러싸는 로터리등 경우에는 junction=circular 또는 junction=roundabout(회전교차로) 태그를 붙여야합니다.

How to map

차선이 분리된 경우의 교통섬 경우에는or an island between two lanes of a carriageway, either:

• traffic_calming=island 이 항목을 참고하고, 교통섬 끝에 길을 나누어 traffic_calming=island, oneway=yes 를 사용해 도로 사이에 맵핑합니다.
