Tag for small areas of trees

I see there is an idea for "natural=micro-forest". However, in OpenStreetMap the existing tags landuse=forest and natural=wood can be used for areas of trees of almost any size, as long as there is more than 3 or 4 trees. For mapping 1 or 2 individual trees, usually a node at the location of the trunk is used with the tag natural=tree.

Suggested tag for “vegetated_fountain"

amenity=vegetated_fountain is suggested on the page. However, a fountain in OpenStreetMap can be just mapped as a node where the water sprays up. You could then map the surrounding vegetation with an appropriate tag, e.g. leisure=garden or landuse=flowerbed or landuse=grass etc. - But it would also be fine to add a second tag to describe the fountain, e.g. fountain=vegetated_fountain if this is a specific type. --Jeisenbe (talk) 17:05, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

White surfaces

It's fine to use colour=* with the surface. However, the suggested tag *:surface:abeldo=* does not seem verifiable for mappers. I imagine it requires special equipment to measure this value. Tags in OpenStreetMap should be mappable by surveying the location with ordinary equipment (a smartphone and GPS). --Jeisenbe (talk) 17:08, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

About smartphone, there's exactly an Albedo app for measuring reflectance (alongside HydroColor for water quality) using the camera with a gray card, iPad Pro even has a Lidar now. Of course, it's better to directly identify material=* / surface=* and colour=* first. ---- Kovposch (talk) 14:52, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Sun protection

Re: amenity=sun_protection + sun_protection:type=canopy - we already have a tag for weather shelters: amenity=shelter + shelter_type=weather_shelter which provides shelter from rain or sun. Roofs can also be mapped as building=roof features or sometimes building=tent. There is also some use of man_made=canopy and building=canopy but this word is ambiguous: it can either mean a cloth or textile covering, or just a open roof such as found at petro stations, so I think that term should be avoided if possible. --Jeisenbe (talk) 17:11, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Proposal?

This could better be put as a draft article, than under "proposed features". Some existing tags:
