I'm a Helsinki based mapper (OSM profile) who's mapping mainly in my home country Finland, where my special areas of interest are the Helsinki Region, Kuhmo municipality & Äkäslompolo village. I also try to participate in Humanitarian OpenStreetMap mapping events whenever possible.

Background
I joined the OSM community in July 2014 to see what OSM was all about. Didn't submit my first contribution until January 2016 inspired by the OSM Finland 2016 Meeting. OSM Foundation member since 2018.

- Manually check with city/municipality websites that all the sports centres leisure=sports_centre can be found in OSM + avoid overlapping centres by removing unessecary sports_centres within a sports_centre that can be classified as leisure=fitness_centre or building=sports_hall
- Check with city/municipality (and other?) websites that all the chalets tourism=chalet can be found in OSM
- Check recycling locations (eg. https://www.ekokymppi.fi/)
- Check with city/municipality websites that all the schools amenity=school can be found in OSM
- Check with city/municipality websites(?) that all the hospitals amenity=hospital can be found in OSM
- remove source="Kosmosnimki.ru" from objects I've edited based on MML/NLS
- Check for missing names (eg. objects that have name:sv but no name or name:fi or vice versa)
- Ensure that there are no gaps between landuse areas ( eg. with this service)
Done projects
- Map old schools and give them the appropriate tagging (name, disused school etc.). A list of schools can be found here ♦ 17.7.2021
Tools
Editing both with JOSM and ID. For mobile mapping I'm mainly using Organic maps, Every Door & StreetComplete. Also experimenting with MapComplete & OsmAnd-editors. I have also been using Mapillary to collect street view images to support my OSM edits.
