wikipedia=(언어):(페이지 제목) 태그는 해당 지물에 관한 위키백과 (위키피디아)의 문서를 연결할 때 사용합니다.
위키백과 링크의 활용
오픈스트리트맵의 객체라면 무엇이든 그와 연관된 위키백과 링크를 걸 수 있습니다. 단, 다음의 지침을 참고해 주세요.
- 일반적으로 해당 지물이 속해 있는 지역의 주요 언어(현지어)로 작성된 위키백과 문서 링크를 하나만 걸어줍니다. 특정한 경우에 따라 현지에서 쓰이지 않는 언어로 된 문서도 링크할 수 있습니다.
- 언어 코드는 위키백과 링크의 해당 언어판을 뜻하는 것이므로 무슨 언어인지 안다는 가정으로 생략하여서는 안 됩니다. 따라서 '광화문'이 아니라 'ko:광화문' (ko는 한국어판을 의미)으로 적어야 합니다.
- 해당 문서의 URL 주소 (예: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Paul%27s_Cathedral)를 그대로 붙여넣어서는 안 됩니다. URL 주소에서 사용되는 밑줄이나 URL 인코딩 문자를 포함시키지 말고, 사람이 읽기 쉬운 제목 그대로를 적어야 합니다. 영국 런던의 세인트 폴 대성당의 경우에는 'St_Paul%27s_Cathedral'이 아니라 'St Paul Catedral'로 적어야 합니다.
- 해당 문서의 특정 문단으로 링크를 걸 때에는 띄어쓰기를 밑줄로 대체하여야 합니다 (예:
wikipedia=(언어):(페이지 제목#문단 제목)). 그러나 왠만하면 이렇게 하지 마시고, 그 문단으로 넘겨주기 처리되는 문서를 링크하는 것을 권장드립니다.
- 해당 문서의 특정 문단으로 링크를 걸 때에는 띄어쓰기를 밑줄로 대체하여야 합니다 (예:
- 해당 주제와 직접적으로 관련된 문서만 링크하여야 합니다. 예컨대 서울 광화문을 나타내는 지물에 광화문에 관한 문서를 링크하는 것은 괜찮습니다. 하지만 버스 정류장을 나타내는 지물에 그 버스 노선의 운영 회사에 관한 문서를 링크하여서는 안됩니다 (아래 문단 참고).
- 철도 노선이나 강처럼 여러 가지의 길 요소(way)로 이루어진 큰 규모의 지물은 각 길마다 개별적으로 링크를 거는 것이 아니라 그것들을 전부 포괄하는 전체 지물 하나에만 링크를 걸어주는 것이 좋습니다.
- 모든 객체마다 그와 관련된 위키백과 문서가 있는 것은 아닙니다. 특히 동네 슈퍼나 미용실에 관한 위키백과 문서가 있을 수는 없습니다. 다만 그곳을 운영하는 회사에 대해서는
brand:wikipedia=*태그로 무슨 회사(브랜드)인지를 나타낼 수 있습니다.

In almost all cases, a single wikipedia tag using the primary language for the subject, as described above, is sufficient. Data users can access articles in other languages where available using Wikipedia's interlanguage links. If interlanguage links are missing, this should usually be fixed within Wikipedia (more specifically, in Wikidata).
One example where it is appropriate to provide additional explicit links to articles in secondary languages is when there is no existing article about the object in the local language. For example, for museums in France, French Wikipedia is preferred, but linking to the English article about the particular museum in France is OK if there is no matching article in French Wikipedia. In these circumstances, use the format wikipedia:fr='page title' (e.g. wikipedia:en=*) for the secondary languages.
2차 위키백과 링크
You may tag secondary attributes of the feature by preceding the wikipedia=* key with the name of the attribute, separated by a colon (:). The value of such a key would be the same as the normal wikipedia=* key but referring to the appropriate Wikipedia page.

In the past, the name of the attribute was put after the key (e.g. wikipedia:operator), but this was deprecated because it creates a conflict with the way secondary languages are linked.
It may be more useful to store certain data on Wikidata. For example, instead of using name:etymology:wikipedia=* or name:etymology:wikidata=* one may follow the Wikidata link from wikidata=* and use data stored in P138 property on Wikidata page of this object.
Occasionally, a feature may have one or more secondary links, but no primary link. For example, a memorial depicting a famous event may have only a secondary subject:wikipedia=* link. Monuments, memorials, statues, and similar features should have wikipedia=* only if they have their own Wikipedia article. The same applies to chain stores.

You can add or update the wikipedia key by pasting the full article url in the Wikipedia property. It also adds the wikidata=* key. See this video for an example: "Adding Wikidata to OpenStreetMap" (note that you don't need to remove the previous wikipedia key)
JOSM
The Wikipedia plugin for JOSM displays geotagged Wikipedia articles or wikidata items in your area, allowing you to conveniently add them to OSM objects without spending time searching. Remember to configure the plugin to use the appropriate language.
