A shop that sells professional equipment for ground maintenance of sports fields, golf courses, parks or other commercial grounds They sell high quality commercial products of a variety of brands to grounds and lawn care businesses, but also sell to private individuals who want high quality tools. Most also service some or all of the brands they carry. Tools they typically sell include large mowers, string trimmers, blowers, chain saws, woodchippers, and snow blowers. Most also sell small to mid-sized garden tractors, soil tillers, all-terrain vehicles, and small implements. Some also sell seed, fertilizer and other chemical products, but only for turf and trees, not for flower or crop use. They cannot be considered to be garden centers, because they do not sell plants. They cannot be termed a country store, because they do not have the variety of clothing, boots, animal feeds, etc. that these stores carry. They are not agrarian shops because they do not serve the agricultural industry. They do not have crop seed, pesticides on a large scale, or the large agricultural implements and tractors that farmers use. They are focused on serving those whose job it is to service large grounds of institutions and business, such as hospitals, apartment complexes, shopping centers, office buildings. We've all seen trucks pulling trailers with all sorts of lawn equipment. These are the businesses that sell those machines and keep them running. This tag is already in use.

For home garden machinery see shop=garden_machinery.
