highway=corridor is used to map a hallway inside of a building with some indoor tagging schemes. Some more recent tagging systems, such as Simple Indoor Tagging, use a different set of tags under the indoor=* key.

Rendering

Currently, the Humanitarian OSM Team renders corridors as thin white lines inside of buildings.
